Chef J and the making of Mustard Seed LLC
Jamyce Freeman, or, Chef J, is a graduate of the Culinary Institute of Virginia with an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts and a B.S degree in Food Service Management. Chef J has been passionate about cooking since the age of five, and is now a professional chef, devout wife, and mother of three beautiful daughters. She has traveled abroad and has over 30 years of cooking experience from all over the world. In traveling overseas, Chef J has been able to taste, explore and learn how to prepare food globally. For her, cooking is not just about food but an experience and an opportunity to restore health and wellness within the body, mind and soul. To Chef J and Mustard Seed, cooking real, good food with love is key to her delicious meals. Some of Chef J's proudest accomplishments include graduating suma cum laude from the Culinary Institute, winning 1st place in the Yummy Goodness Cooking Competition (2018), and winning the Chef's Choice award at Taste of Chesapeake (2019).
